The Road Scholar Trip Cancellation, Interruption & Travel Delay Insurance Plan provides superior protection of your program investment at an excellent value because it: - Protects your program investment if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip for a specified, covered reason, such as an illness, injury or death [of you, your immediate family member, your traveling companion or your traveling companion’s immediate family member].
- Covers the cost of your airfare whether you purchase your airline tickets with Road Scholar or you make your own air arrangements.
- Reimburses you for expenses you incur due to certain unexpected travel delays.
- Allows you to cancel and be reimbursed for your non-refundable program cost if you miss more than 50% of your program as a result of a covered travel delay.
- Covers pre-existing medical conditions (by waiving the pre-existing condition exclusion) if you purchase the plan within 5 days after your final program payment is due to Road Scholar.
- Refunds your insurance cost plus the $3.00 per person administrative cost if Road Scholar cancels your program prior to the start date.
